Launched by Rotterdammer Sander Lorier in 2011, Studio Lorier is dedicated to crafting clever, functional designs for everyday domestic life. Studio Lorier’s products are designed from essential elements—ceramics, wood, cooper—with a minimal use of materials and extra emphasis on utility.
A graduate of Rotterdam University, Sander Lorier (b. 1988) represents a new generation of designers who not only originate design ideas but also oversee their own handcrafted production within their studios while managing the marketing of their own brands. Lorier’s pared down, functional, and fun products are self-produced for sale directly to end-users. Each joyful item is made to last.
